In many of the communities Chiwo Connect serves, technology can often feel like a luxury rather than a tool. For Rose, a former school janitor, the dream of a teaching career seemed out of reach because of the digital divide—until she joined our Digital Literacy Initiative.
Through hands-on workshops, Rose didn't just learn to use a computer; she mastered it. She started with the basics and worked her way up to globally recognized IT certifications, turning her curiosity into a professional skill set. As part of our Education Pillar, this program is designed to be affordable and scalable, ensuring that financial barriers don't stand in the way of talent.
Today, Rose has moved on from her janitorial work to become the Head of Curriculum Development for an EdTech company. She is now using her expertise to design innovative programs for the next generation of students. Rose’s story is a powerful example of our mission: connecting communities with the sustainable solutions they need to empower themselves.
